IN HONOR OF DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.
L I V I N G THE DREAM
The sixth national observance of the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., will be observed on Monday, January 21,1991. Each of us should work together and remember the life, work and hope of Dr. King. To celebrate in the true spirit of togetherness and most importantly as citizen soldiers, to live the dream as individuals within our families and communities by serving the cause of equality. justice, freedom and peace. The Department of Defense's (DOD) human goals certainly identifies this: "Our nation was founded on the principle that the individual has infinite dignity and worth. DOD exists to keep this nation secure and at peace, and must always be guided by this principle. In all that we do, we must show respect for the serviceman, the servicewomen, the civilian employer and family members recognizing individual needs, aspiration and capabilities." Every person can make a difference, if each of us is willing to make a commitment to work together. Then honoring the life of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr. will not be in vain. Let freedom ring.
