US CENTAF/ DE
CRITICAL ISSUE

SUBJECT: War Readiness Spares Kits (WRSK)

OBSERVATION: Harvest Falcon assets have been placed in service to
beddown and feed personnel. Kits are incomplete in some cases.
Equipment requires service and maintenance. Extremely limited WRSK
and spares available.

ACTION: Asked LGS and TAC/BS to expedite WRSK and spares.
Established CEMIRT for depot maintenance of electrical assets within
AOR. USCENTAF/DE system for locally purchasing parts and shipping
them to the sites shutdown by USCENTAF/LG by disapproving Form 9
purchases. Sites now forced to order repair parts through their home
base taking 60 days plus. WRSK kits for MEP-7 and MEP-6 generators
sent to sites. Less than 70% quantity of MEP-7 and MEP-6 WRSK kits
available for the number of generators deployed in the field.
Although DE developed listing of sites to ship limited 750XW (MEP-12)
WRSK kits, LG reluctant to ship any kits to the sites. WRSK for ECU's
now arriving in theatre and being dispersed to sites. This is
critical since sites do not have spare parts to make repairs.
Technical orders for ECU's, M-80 Water Boilers, etc. unavailable at
the sites to order necessary parts.

Many of the 9-is recently shipped into the SWA AOR are arriving
without all of the parts/equipment associated with complete kitchens,
i.e., missing burner parts, broken tilt grills with no repair parts,
etc. No spares kits are available for the 9-1.

Experiencing numerous problems with the TFLs, i.e., electrodes burning
out drum axis breaking and control panels fouling. Insufficient kits
available to allow accomplishment of local repairs.
