			CRITICAL ISSUE 
SUBJECT: HARDENING 
 
OBSERVATION: More needs to be done to protect personnel, critical 
equipment, and aircraft. 
 
ACTION: Sandbags and shovels were sent to six of our most 
forward locations. An additional 225,000 sandbags are on 
order.  An aircraft revetment kit distribution plan was worked between 
Engineering and Air Base Operability for 226 kits. Shaikh Isa, King 
Fahd, and Al Minhad have received kits. Set-up is now in progress at 
Shaikh ISA and King Fadh.  Berming of munitions and POL is still in 
progress at many sites with areas complete at some sites.
