individuals have a current DD Form 2AF (Armed Forces
Identification Card) and a copy of deployed orders with
amendments. Tour verification RIPS will be issued at the MPU.
(4)Provide baggage tags to unit personnel and complete
information prior to departing unit.
(5)Limit personnel to two pieces of checked baggage which
does not exceed 140 pounds total weight. Footlockers and trunks
are prohibited. Carry-on baggage is limited to one piece not
larger than 9 X 15 X 24 inches.
(6)Aircrew personal baggage that cannot fit in the POD may
be given to another person and shipped on support aircraft
providing it's inspected for prohibited items during baggage in-
check.
(7) Prohibited Items:
(a) Shotguns with barrels under 18 inches long.
(b) Rifles with barrels under 16 inches long.
(c) Automatic weapons.
(d) Switchblade Knives.
(e) Brass knuckles.
(f) Incendiary devices, such as flares.
(g) Gunpowder, cartridges, or primers.
(h) Butane lighters with refillable reservoirs.
(i) Flashbulbs in checked baggage, but may be
handcarried.
(8) Coordinate transportation requirements with vehicle
dispatch.
d. Air Cargo Preparation:
(1)Establish priority and sequence for movement of cargo.
(2)Evaluate requirements for 463L Pallets Nets, and Tiedown
equipment.
(3) Recover all reuseable packing containers.
(4) Prepare AF Form 2514, Deployment Load List in three
copies.
(5) Prepare AF Form 2518, Deployment Packing List.
(6) Initiate AF Form 127, Traffic Transfer Receipt for cargo
that is not accompanied by a courier.
(7) Prepare DD Form 1387-2, Special Handling
Data/Certification in two copies IAW AFR 71-4 for aI1 hazardous
materials.
(8)Ensure all hazardous cargo shipped together is
compatible.
(9) Keys and combinations must accompany cargo to the in-
check area.
(10) VehicIes and equipment must be free of dirt, trash,
pests and oil, fuel, or corrosive residue--steam clean, if
necessary.
(11) Placards must be attached to all equipment with
approoriate information IAW AFR 28-4.
(12) 463L Pallets:
(a) Is pallet skin free of damage, top and bottom, and
any bent lips on the 88-inch sides?
(b) Are tiedown rings serviceable?
