File: aabff_23.txthad only one deviation from the schedule. We flew 131/128 to include 2 FCF's and 1 RTB from KKMC (a/c 1377). - We got in the two replacement jets from Hahn, a/c 1283 and a/c 1287. They are currently undergoing an acceptance inspection for the 17 AMU. - It was a smooth day. FEB 20: DAY 35 - We got the go ahead to finish off the rest of the fleet with the ECA mods. - We got the airlift for the swap out to KKMC. We are scheduled to rotate approximately 65-70 folks again to complete the even distribution amongst the three AMU's. Also put chicken on board for their cookout. We will be sending up a special meal every Monday from now on. - We had a good number of weather air aborts. The weather was terrible over the tanker tracks and target area. - a/c 1385 diverted into Jubail for a compressor stall. Got a team together with an engine, but when they left, the took a cart with no oil in it. People are working too quickly and too slop- pily. There is no suitable sub up there at the Marine base for 7808 oil. We will have to fly it up in a travel pod tomorrow. Also on this engine, we had FCF'ed it yesterday and flown it once before it diverted in for problems. - a/c 1265 came back air abort with an AB Blowout. - Had to change the engine in 1251 at KKMC. It RTB'ed later in the evening. That leaves us with one good one up North. We'll wait and ship up and back in pairs. - MSgt Zaworski is here from CENTAF watching our EMB folks to observe their procedures and to give them any pointers. He has tasked TAC to finally get us an Engine Manager in after six months of doing without. - They are getting clarification on the 100 hr augmentor bore- scope and whether we can do that during every other 50 hr or whether they are going to make us use EOT. - We have a tremendous volume of engine traffic from Hahn. We are always way below our alloted spares because of the rate we are flying and going through engines. CENTAF reaffirmed that we need to get at least one NM engine a day back into the system by any means, otherwise the pipeline will become clogged up. CRS has also been responsible of loading and recording the war clicks on the engines before they go out.
