attitude that might exist as disparate people from different
commands, flying missions, and medical backgrounds come together.
       This has been very worthwhile.
In the generic/ it was CINCSAC 's view that the concept of a
new unit assignment, for the duration, with one unified mindset
ought to prevail. Primary orientations toward SAC,TAC,MAC etc,
should drop away, to be replaced by one to the theatre command.
Accordingly this will be part of formal briefings to all depart-
ing SAC medical personnel and units regardless of how long they
might expect to actually be there. Suggest the attitude be
      promulgated.

       AL DHAFRA
           [(b)(2)] Included for
completeness, no medical issues discussed other than an individu-
       al medical waiver case.

       SEEB
          [(b)(2)]

          Primary threat: terrorist attack.
Contingency Hospital: Ready, repackaged. Missed Col Carlton
and team by a day or so; they'd already departed the area. Best
example over there of what a motivated CE and medical group could
       accomplish together.
Lowest incidence of gastrointestinal illness encountered
anywhere. All units under field messing conditions. Each Member
responsible for his/her own gear. All food/water handled by our
       people for our people.
Life Support: finding strobe light batteries SDU5E for person-
al locator beacons highly unreliable. SAC LG is checking on
whether this is a local or a more general problem.
          Strategic concern:
Technicians asking for study materials, wide range of OJT
subjects for 901, 902 career fields, and for EMT academics as
well. This is different than WAPS testing per se, which I believe
has been otherwise reviewed. SAC/SGN looking into supplies out of
our assets. Others may wish to do so also. CENTAF/SG mentioned
an actual EMT course he expected to see run in Riyadh.

       DIEGO GARCIA
          [(b)(2)]
             .
          Primary threat: Boredom.
Spent considerable time reviewing with both Navy and AF medi-
cal personnel assigned two important facts. A)There is no plan to
recover battle damaged aircraft with casualties aboard at DG. [
I reconfirmed with STRATFOR personally that all such would set
