Transportable Clinics (i.e. Snellen chart, Jaeger card, lshihara
color plates, ampler grid, and a hand held audiometer. It would

15.(U) Both flight surgeons at this clinic had excellent oppor-
tunities to fly with their aircrews during Operation Desert Storm.
The 50 TAS flight surgeon flew several airlift missions including a
troop repositioning mission involving a 20 hour duty day. The 41
ECS flight surgeon flew rotating day and night sorties. Addition-
ally, both flight surgeons flew a tactical aeroevacuation mission.
Altogether, we have flown 11 combat support sorties since 17 Jan
        91. We believe these flying opportunities were an invaluable ex-
perience, providing insight into daily aeromedical problems, en-
vironment, and lifestyle of aircrew. It was also an excellent
chance to build rapport and credibility with crew members.
