reactions, anxiety, neuroses, psychotic reactions, suicide

7. Non-battle Injuries (NBI): fractures, sprains,
contusions, lacerations , abrasions, animal bites, snake bites.
8. Medical Illnesses (MED ILL): cardiorespiratory problems
such as chest pain, hypertension, neurological problems such as
headaches, convulsions, syncopal episodes.
9. Special categories (SPEC CAT): These were reported as a
total figure and individually by each MTF each week. Note that
this data is tabulated in the attachments by theater average but
not by unit and reporting week. This was done because the 108
pages that would be required to tabulate the data by unit and
week would not add significant information to this report.

V. DATA REPORTED AND INTERPRETATION.
1. The attached charts display the case rate per 1000 for
each syndrome, by week, for each deployed MTF. Also given is the
theater-wide weekly average rate of all MTFs for each syndrome.
The dates on these charts are the closing dates of each reporting
week (the reporting week ran from Sunday to Saturday).
