NEW INFORMATION IS UNDERLINED

- (U)  21AF message 181800Z Sep 90 responds to 2AES MEDRED-C of 130001Z Sep 90 regarding
use of prepositioned A/E equipment at Rhein-Main AB.  2AES stated it was dangerously low in
equipment (i.e., C141 trip seats, etc.) which could result in canceled A/E missions.  21AF responds
stating the prepositioned equipment is for use in emergencies or disaster and not for use in sustained
activities such as Operation DESERT SHIELD.  (Source:  as note above)
