         MEMORANDUM FOR Commander, E@'stern Area Command, ATTN: COL Khala-F

         SUBJECT: Request for Range


         1. Request the Eastern Area   Command approve the establishment a-F
         a live fire range to sLtpport';t6e XVIII Abn Corps.

             The live fire range will:b6 located in a rough rectangle -From
         2646N, 4824E; 2646N9 4745E; 26)5E, 4745E; 2631N, 4830E. An
         overlay, scale 1:250,000 is at@ached.
         3. On.the range, we will use the weapons listed below. We will
         ensure that all safety requirements are met. The weapons are:
             a. Close air support with 2.75" rockets, 30mm cannon and
         bombs up to 500 kilos.
             b.   Attack helicopters wit@ Hellfire and TOW missiles, 2.75"
         rackets  and 30mm cannon.

             C.   Main battle tank wit@  120mm and 103 fnm cannon.

             d.   203mm, 155mm and 105:mm  artillery.

             .e.  60mm, Simms and 107mm mortars.
             f.   Bradley fighting vehicle, 25mm cannon and TOW missiles.

             g .  20mm VLtlcan.

             h.   TOW, Dragon, AT4 andiM72 anti tank weapons.

             i.   All small arms up to  .50 caliber.

         4.  This range is also being,  coordinated through US command
         channels.

         5. Please let us know as soon as the range is approved.
