          Cdr's Comments: Working with ADE on fixes to problems noted during CPX.
          Examining breaching doctrine to see how to fit it to light forces and Iraqi
          obstacles. We must have a master plan for the 5000-man LSA; to do this,
          Division needs to determine who will occupy PANTHER BASE with 3D Bde.

          Cdr's Comments: We continue to be critically short of Arabic linguists. This
          problem has been evident for several weeks but is more of a problem now owing
          to return of 311th and 519th MI BN linguists. At this point in time, we have
          15 linguists an hand. We need over 50 to be able to accomplish our mission
          with high standards.

          Cdr's Commentsz Today the Battalion Officers began the day with an officers PT
          session. We conducted two Officer Professional Development classes at DHAHRAN
          Air Base. The classes consisted of a hands on briefing and operational
          demonstrations of the Patriot Air Defense System at the 2-7th ADA Battalion and
          an in-depth walk through of the mission, capabilities and functions of the
          USAF Control and Reporting Center (CRC) also located at DHAHRAN Air Base. The
          day's events were concluded by an Officer's Hail conducted in conjunction with
          the supper meal at the Mission Inn.
