                                            COMMANDER'S NARRATIVE SUMMARY

Cdr's Comments: Visit with Charles Moskos went well. His questions seemed to
focus on how well soldiers were informed as to why they were here and the
importance of their mission. He told me he was impressed with the depth of
issues that individual soldiers were thinking about. Staff representatives
meet with the Emir of AYN DAR today who agreed to let us set up a KD range
vicinity of 2-325 sector along the AYN DAR Highway. We will go slow on this to
ensure it's set up safely and properly coordinated. But, it would provide us
with a close in KD range to hone marksmanship skills.

CDR's Comments: The AVN BDE concluded its support of 3-504 EXEVAL. Today the
Brigade responded to a short notice mission from ARCENT to transport a British
Security Team to and aircraft accident site aprox. 125 South of AL HASA.

            3-73 ARMOR: Submitted: 14 Nov 90

Cdr's Comments: Require additional smoke grenades to mark positions for CAB
missions. All 19D's (non deployables excluded) at Fort Bragg need to be
shipped to Saudi Arabia ASAP. All new 19D's must go through the school of the
Sheridan and TTS transition prior to being a fully integrated Tank Crew.
1 Dec 90 is a good target date for receiving all 19D's left at Fort Bragg.
Request Jumpmaster School be conducted in Saudi Arabia. Without this training
the Battalion will experience a severe shortage of Jumpmasters upon
            redeployment.
