         Cdr's Comments: My procurement team returned yesterday with the items we need to
         install a satellite TV receiver to provide CNN service. Fabrication of the antenna
         system and testing of the receiver are underway. Completion of this project is my
         top priority.

         Cdr's Comments: There may be problems with DISCOM's selection for their LSA. It
         appears tc) be atop sabkhat. Will confirm. Progress at PEGASUS BASE is good; will
         withdraw equipment used for Phase I within days. Preparing for projects at ALI and
         KHALID Range, to include DIVARTY fire base and 3-73 TTS Range. Also working closely
         with 3d Bde to insure their LSA development is on line. We have acquired some data
         on Italian mines (used by Iraq) from the manufacturer. May be of use to 6-2.

         Cdr's Comments: We continued to be critically short of      Arabic linguists. This
         problem has been evident for several weeks but is more of a problem now owing to
         return of 311th and 519th MI Bn linguists. At this point in time, we have 21
         linguists on hand. We need over 50 to be able to accomplish our mission with high
         standards.
