the support of active and reserve component units deployed in
support of Operation Desert Shield. Successful execution of
Oplan Lexicon Danger (U), Appendix 7 (Family Assistance Plan)
and Appendix 9 (Morale, Welfare and Recreation) was evident in
the findings of the FORSCOM IS and the Army's senior leadership
that Fort Riley's Family Assistance Program, supporting
deployment, serves as a model for the Army. The DPCA provided
liaison for deployment support +or AAFES, American Red Cross,
and Unified School Districts in both Junction City and
Manhattan. Extensive cross-leveling of DPCA civilian personnel,
primarily from Education and ADPCP Counseling Center was
required to meet the demand for increased staffing at the Family
Assistance Center (FAC). A full time Volunteer Coordinator and
Donations Coordinator were cross-leveled out of DPCA Management
             Division to the FAC.
