            MEMORANDUM FOR ARCENT HOST NATION SUPPORT CELL

            SUBJECT: Waste Oil/Hazardous Waste Disposal Facilities


            1. Request you identify disposal facilities to be used by
            units of the XVIII Airborne Corps for the disposal of used
            motor oil and other hazardous waste materials, such as
            batteries, toxic chemicals, and chemical agent contaminated
            filters, etc. With routine vehicle maintenance, a quantity
            of used motor oil has accumulated. We need to know what is
            the approved method of disposal of old oil quickly. The
            other materials have not accumulated to the degree of urgency
            of the oil.

            2. Each division needs a facility for these materials
            identified, or collection points for transfer to a
            centralized point.
