to get items did finally become available to units like, AT-4s,
45 cal., and 50 cal ammo. The battalion eventually picked up the
basic load before the ground offensive.

During the ground offensive, the battalion depleted its basic
load of demo. The battalion received the mission to destroy
Iraqi equipment that was over-pun and left behind. The battalion
destroyed about 500 pieces of equipment. After the demo mission,
the battalion received the order to move back to the rear
assembly areal for redeployment home. Turning in all the CLASS V
then, was a matter of getting in line and waiting for your turn
             in time.

CLASS VI (Sundry Packs). The headcount determined the number of
sundry packs a unit received. The only issue the battalion had
with sundry packs was with the female packs. Again, it was an
issue of availability and priority. The division always received
priority of fill. The battalion would have to wait for the non
divisional support units to eventually receive their stocks.
Female sundry packs continued to be a probl@m because their Just
wasn't enough available or the battalion didn't have the
             priority.

CLASS VII. There were no issues with CLASS VII. The theater
didn't process CLASS VII replenishments. So, what the battalion
deployed with and picked up from host nation support, is
             what-units went to war with.

             CLASS VIII. No issues.
CLASS IX (covered as a separate issue)

Time fixed all the issues involved with supply. The overall
riding factor that caused a lot of the frustrations was, being
that far forward in the division and not being able to get timely
L back seat. The
battalion operated out of the D-Rear with good support going on
all around the battalion. It Just took the battalion a little
longer to get the same support.

RECOMMENDATION: If an Engineer Combat Battalion (Heavy) is
needed in the division maneuver box, place it either OPCON or
attached to the division. The battalion then, looks to the
             division for its support.

ISSUE: 2nd COSCOM's inability to support the 92 ECB(H) during
             the ground campaign in Iraq.
