                                   PROPOSED INTENT

            Redeployment of Brigade equipment and personnel is the most
        important mission we will accomplish in the immediate future. It will
        require detail planning which allows for flexibility to meet changing
        scenarios. As part of the redeployment process, we must ensure
        adequate life support is provided during our stay in the RAA. The
        best way to guarantee success in this mission is to prepare equipment
        to meet the highest possible shipment/storage standards and to
        maintain 100% accountability of personnel and property. My intent on
        redeployment a+ personnel is to use backward planning; that is,
        determine what the trail party requirements are, then determine the
        number required of personnel available for redeployment.
        discrepancies between numbers of required personnel vs. available
        personnel will be addressed through command channels. Positive
        conimand and control will be the key to success in this operation.
        As always safety is first and foremost in everything we do. Performing
        risk analysis, ensuring some one is in charge at all times, and
        discipline will assist in protecting our soldiers.

        BOTTOPILINE: Plan in detail, but keep it simple. Establish standards
        and hold leaders -accountable to them. Don't waste time, expect the
