    6 JAN
       Pay missions completed with no problems.
       Cdr discussed base/perimeter defense plan with lLT Peterson, 10th
    Trans Bn (Camp I Security OIC). Agreed that since 3d ACR would no
    longer be around by 10th that 502d would need to be responsible for
    east camp perimeter reinforcement/defense.
       Cdr, Dep Cdr and Det ISG had planning meeting to lay out tactical,
    technical, security and personnel requirements for the coming week.
    Decision made to have perimeter defense sketch done and then to
    conduct several di-ills, i.e., NBC attack, manning defense positions,
    hasty movement, during the week.
       0600-2300 hours--Unit Downtime.
    7 7AN
       Fixed-site pay missions completed with no problems.
       0630-2000 hours--Cpt Troller and Sgt Wolf went to 18th CFG and
    ARCENT FAO to get remaining LES's for 584th MAINT Co, to transmit
    input through COAHOST, utilize JTELS, and attend a Field Ordering
    Offier (FOO) class. COAHOST was down. Got into JTELS and printed
    all incoming messages and printed LES's until the system went down.
    Cp-t Troller attended the FOO CLASS.

    8 JAN
      Fixed-site missions completed with no problems.
      0515-0700 hours--NBC and "hasty" movement drill and AAR completed.
      1100-1130 hours--Col Baer, Asst S-2/S-3 and S-4 visited on their
    way to KKMC. Discussed latest on Corps OPLAN with Cdr and Dep Cdr
    and informed that we will not be moving west rightaway.
      1400--Cpt Troller and Sgt Wolf went to the IBTH CFG to XO's Staff
    Update and to input via COAHOST and obtain LES'S.

    9 JAN
      Fi::ed-site missions completed with no problems.

    10 JAN
      Fixed-site missions completed with no problems.
      1300-2300 hours--Cdr and ISB went to 18th CFG Command Call.
    Received intell and staff update concerning the following: EPW
    processing at theater cages and Finance role, battlefield replacement
    processing, clearing of Class A agents and F00s. W-2's and LES's may
    not arrive in theater for EOM Jan because of war and nonavailability
    of aircraft. MAJ Ferrone of BOOTH MP (Theater EPW) Bde, has been
    working closely with S-.3 and was present to brief all Cdrs. COL Baer
    reaffirmed that 502D will remain in Jubail and will not move west in
    conjunction with 3D ACR. SGT Wolf attempted to get LES requests from
    units, utilize JTELS and COAHOST, but the communication equipment was
    disconnected because the signal units are moving out. Went to ARCET\IT
    FAO and transmitted messages. MAJ Speer showed SGT Wolf how to hook
    up the ARCENT DDN line so we could have that capability at Camp 1,
    finally.

    11 JAN
      Fixed-site missions completed with no problems.
      0930 hours--Cpt Riley, ISTH CFB HHD Cdr, picked up one of our
    Deuce's to move equipment to KKMC (King Khalid Military City).
      Unit soldiers worked on bunkers, guard positions and assisted Camp
    Security OIC in stringing concertina wire on outer fence of camp.
    Received notification from Rear Detachment that mechanic (SPC Hite)
    had departed Ft Hood.
      3D ACR PSC completed their withdrawal from Camp 1 north to RTOC.
