    15 JAN
      Fi@:ed-site missions completed with no problems.
      0900 hours--Squad leaders and soldiers rechecked assigned guard
    posts.
      1300-2330 hours--CPT Troller and SPC Gagnon went to ARCENT FAO -to
    clear SF44's, pick up coins for PX operations,and turn in vouchers
    and checks. CPT Troller went to an XO's meeting at 18th CFO and
    received latest intell/staff update. Meetings will continue at the
    18th CFG Compound as long as the scenario allows.

    16 JAN
      Fi,,,ed-site missions completed with no problems.
      0900--All unit soldiers received Anthrax vaccinations at Port of
    Jubail.
      Plt Sgt conducted detail to improve and reinforce our bunkers.
      la3O hours--Received call from ISTH CFG S-3 and advance warning to
    go to THREATCON Delta MOPP 1.
      2130 hours--Cdr received call from CFOC OIC. Orders received from
    his higher HO to begin ingestion of pre-nerve agent pills and
    subsequent order given to unit.

    17 JAN
      0300--H-hour.
      0305--Cdr received call from 18TH CFG S-3 that "-the war is on" and
    to verify we are at MOPP 1. Cdr immediately notified Dep Cdr and 1SG
    to check on soldiers. Had squad leaders rein-Force procedures for
    what to do in event of air raid or Scud alert; posted guards at all
    entrances to billets.
      0320--Civil defense sirens went off; all unit soldiers into bunkers
    at MOPP 2. All Clear received at 0340. Radio confirmed air
    offensive initiated on IRA(A at about 0250 hours. Unit remains at
    MOPP 1; local TI@REATCON is Charlie.
      0630--Continued cashier operations in Camp 1; cancelled all pay
    missions outside camp for time being.
      2030--CFOC notified Trans soldiers to MOPP Zero-plus. We remained
    in MOPP 1 and continued nerve agent pills.

    18 JAN
      Scuds launched into Israel and over us towards Dhahran. Missile
    knocked down by Patriot missile over Dhahran. Unit at MOPP 1 plus
    overshoes '
      Soldiers worked on improving bunkers and conducted training on NBC
    and first aid.
      Pay mission for 561st CSB and 37th Eng Bn in our northern sector
    cancelled.
      1100--Cdr allowed two 7th Fin Gp soldiers living with us to go to
    nearby ISA to pay 7th Corps soldiers leaving tonight +or their
    northern TAA allowing them to get monies before moving out to the
    desert.
      Unit remained in MOPP 1 plus overshoes.
