            APPENDIX 2 (INTELLIGENCE REPORTS) TO ANNEX X (REPORTS) TO      XVIII
            AIRBORNE CORPS FIELD SOP


                     (7) The Counter Intelligence Report is due every      48
            hours as of 1500 hours due NLT 2100 hours through the
            telecommunications system (see Tab B).

                     (8) The Staff Weather Officer Report is due daily as of
            0300 hours NLT 0500 hours through the telecommunications system
            (see Tab C).

            5. Coordinating Instructions.

                a. All intelligence reports and messages will be sent over
            secure electrical circuits and will be afforded appropriate
            protection when transmitted by other means, such as courier.

                b. All electronically transmitted INTSUMs and INTREPs will
            be addressed to Cdr, XVIII Abn Corps Main, TAC, and Rear CP
            //G2//.

                c. Reports having a potential impact on adjacent units,
            such as INTSUMS, INTREPS, and selected SPIREPS, will be
            transmitted laterally as well as vertically.

                d. All single-source reports will indicate the specific
            source and circumstances of collection to the degree that
            recipients may have a better understanding of the validity to
            attach to-such a single source.

                e. All derivative-source reports, that is, reports
            resulting from a compilation of other reports, will be carefully
            worded or distinctly marked as being derived from previous
            reports so that recipients do not interpret these derivative
            reports as being new and confirming information.

            6. The standard letter/number coding system indication source
            reliability (A-F) and information validity (1-6), as outlined in
            FM 34-1, will be used.
