         Analysis of 3d Squadron, 2d ACR Eattle Danage Incident:
         
             a.  General description of tactical situation:
         
                 (1)  Troop movement to contact, temporarily halted with
         enemy to the front while CAS and artillery engaged enemy.
         
                 (2)  Troop manning screen line after movement to contact
         and contact with enemy forces.
             b.  Knowledge of enemy situation and certainty of that
         information:
                 (1)  Enemy was attempting to break contact or stationary
         based upon real time information from aerial scouts.
                 (2)  Enemy in the jimnediate areas had been destroyed or
         captured.
             c.  Terrain and environmental conditions:
         
                 (1)  Enemy was on the other side of a small ridge and
         observed by aerial and ground scouts, approximately 260900 Feb 91
         with a slight haze and some battlefield smoke, visibility about
         300Cm.
         
                 (2)  Flat desert, approximately 260200 Feb 91 with some
         haze and complete darkness, visibility 2000w with thermals.
         
         SUMMARY:
         
         K42 (MiAl Abrans Tank) - Struck by DPICI4 type artillery
         munitions. The loaders 21240 machinegun was destroyed and the
         front right fuel cell was punctured. The loader was Wounded In
         Action (IJIA). Ballistic diagrams not available.
