                             ANNEX A

(Actions to be Taken Before, During, and. After a Chemical Attack)
to Operation Desert Storm NBC SOP


1.   Actions to be taken if CW/BW attack not expected:

     a. Carry the following items of ~BC protective equipment:

        * Mask with Hood
        * BDO/CPO
        * Boots
        * Gloves
        * Skin Decon Kits (SDK)
        * MARK 1 Kits
        * Pyridostigmine Tablets
        * Convulsant Antidote Nerve Agent (CANA)
        * Helmet Flight Bag

      b.  Individuals check protective equipment weekly.

      c.  Sections will ensure that all or- their personnel are
current on immunizations.

      d.  Sections will conduct familiarication training on use of
individual NBC equipment.   (CCHC is a'/ai).able to conduct
training).

2.   Actions to be taken if CW/DW atta~~ expected within next 2-4
days:

      a.  CS will decide when t(? take Pyridostigmine tablets.

      b.  Personnel will carry NBC protective equipment at all
times, both on and off duty.

      c.  CCHC NBC teams deploy and moritor M8Al alarms lAW ANNEX
B.

      d.  All sections will conduct refresher training on how to
recognize and react to CW/BW alert procedures.

3.   Actions to be taken if CW/BW attack is imminent:
