LTG AHMAD (I): Yes.

`/4/

GEN SCHWARZKOPF (US): That's fine. (To Khalid) Is that fine with
you? (Khalid acknowledged yes) ~ O.K. So that will be the point where
connnanders could Tneet to coordinate.

LTG A~~AD (I) : Or when we give you back the answers where the answers
could be received from you side or ours

GEN SCHWARZKOPF (US): That's very fine.

LTG AHMAD (I): A mutual point for handling

GEN SCHWARZKOPF (US): We will set up a tent there like this with a
flag and any vehicle that comes to that point if they are flying an
orange flag will be O.K.

LTG AMMAD (I): Well if ycu are going to put that in then we don't
need to put one in from our side. That tent will be sufficient for
people to corne and handle things and both sides will have cars come to
that tent with orange. (Pause) Well, then we agree on the orange 100
x 80 cm

GEN SCHWARZKOPF (US): Centimeters or inches Just joking

LTG A~AD (1): 100 x 80 ?

GEN SCHWARZKOPF (US): If this was a negotiation we could argue over
inches and centimeters, you know that don't you? (To COL BELL) Do we
have anything back there? (To A~IAD) It doesn't have to be exactly
100 x 80, just big enough so we could see

LTG AH~~D (I): And we are ready for any other suggestions

GEN SCHWARZKOPF (US): Good. (To Khalid) You have any other points?
(Khalid, No) The one area I think we still, we still need to very
quickly agree on the exact details, is in the area of how the Red
Cross deals with this prisoner situation because we will have to agree
to things like location, numbers to be exchanged and what order they
are and this sort of thing.

LTG AHi4AD (I): I would like to repeat here that whatever the Red
Cross agrees or thinks is right than we agree on that. And the areas
and location would be more convenient where there is roads and no
damaged bridges; for instance the Saudi Arabian border. And that will
be more, well, faster

GEN SC~~RZKOPF (US): And it would be easier for us too, because
Perhaps at this meeting place at the road junction our members of our
staff or our commanders can get together once we have that all worked
out. Or I would be happy to meet..

LTG ARNAD (I): Well, just we hope that you keep in mind that the
roads have bridges on the way in. Some of them are military bridges
and so on to make sure there are no delays, so it's better to have
locations... The best roads which has no damage for bridges.
