   called it, was immediately engaged with ~O cal, MK-19 and L~~~~S.

   artillery +ire~ were bought to bear on the enemy.           The sporadic
   enemy small arms +ire ceased. Moments a+ter the indirect +ires
   stopped, darkness once again engul+ed the day as clouds 0+ b~ack
   smoke rolled over the Battalion around *151().         h645, 645, 64S~, was
   called over Battalion T4C 1 ~econds a+ter Task Force Kipper
   reported gas at their position.       1/7 Marines calmly donned and
   cleared their masks while the NBC O++icer, Chi~e+ Warrant O++~~cer
   Larry Snyder, once again went to work and tested our area 4or
   contaminetion.   ~+ter negative readings were observed the "all
   clear" cell was given by Lieutenant Colonel Mattis, and the
   Battal ion prepared to continue its attack.
