    our detached-in+antry company with Tiger 3, was conducting a sweep
    in zone, they came.across 4 wounded Iraqis.        While Cpl kerry Lee
    was searching one o+ them, the Iraqi lunged at Cpl Lee, and was
    i~~~stantly ~il)ed ~y the.tiari~;~tandifl~9 cover +or him.
    Ov~rall OLL  BD~ was 1.9 T-~4/~5'-s,  1S.-T----~2~s,- 2 T-72's, 2 82mm
    Mortar Fosit~ions, I Radar Dish,    17 Trench Systems, 2 BMF's,   1 4F-C,
- - -* 1 4stros Launcher, 2 ~31~s,  16 BTR 50/605, -1 T-12,   1 MTLB, -1 OP
    Tower, 6 4rtillery Pieces, and the uncovering 0+ well over 2000
    EPW `S.

         The big news is spr.ead -throughout the Battalion swi+t~y; a
                          ~+`i~t~~~          Nevertheless,~-the Battalion
     ontinued its normal routine.      Five wounded EPW'-s were helo
    medevaced +rom 1/7's B~S byCH-4~'s to a rear area hospita~.         4
    Marine +rom Company C, Lance ~orporal 6omez, was struck by a stray
    round in the upper arm and slightly injured.        4srL'-~utenant1

         The ~attalion subsequently moved +urther south 0+ the city to
    avoid possible terrorism and stray +i-re f6r celebrating kuwaitis.
    No +urther enemy contact was made by the Battalion.
         Our comrades +rom Charley Engineers were detached at this
    time in order to commence d~struction 0+ enemy equipment in zone.
    Shipmates since March 1'9~0, we hated to see them go.           -
         On 8+7 1/7 mounted up and with Task Force Ripper began its
    so~th~ard movement towards Saudi    4rabi a. Our mi Ssi on was
    comp~ete.  We would be home soon!
