               25 February         Operation Deser@ Storm G-1. As the Division continued its
t towards Al Jabe-, ilth Marines continued to displace
                                   units through the second obstacle belt. As this
                                   displacement was taking place, an Iraqi counterattack force
                                   was identified as forming in the Al Burqan oilfield. After
                                   reorienting the regiment on these targets, the regiment
                                   massed on the Iraqi Sth Mechanized/Armored Brigade and the
                                   Iraqi 26th Armored Brigade breaking up any organized
                                   counterattack. Elements of these forces were scattered in
                                   the direction of the Division CP and 1/11. Battery 'A' 1/11
                                   exchanged automatic weapons fire with Iraqi vehicles and
                                   engaged those vehicles with howitzer direct fire. Battery
                                   'H' 3/14 later engaged two Iraqi multiple rocket launchers
                                   (MRL) with howitze- direct fire and automatic weapons
                                   destroying one launcher and preventing the Iraqis from
                                   firing the MRLS. Ilth Marines un4ts continued to collect
                                   numerous Iraq;- EPW's as units mov;d forward. By the
                                   end of the day, 3/11, 1/11, 3/12 and 5/11 had occupied
                                   positions beyond the second obstacle belt in preparation fo-
                                   a 26 February attack on MEF Oboctive C, Kuwait
                                   International Airport. The organization for combat was
