During this period, the Regiment continued to submit
reenlistment requests and conducted 12 reenlistmerits. F'irE@@
Battalion, N:-nth Marines reenlisted six Marines, HOCO
rec-rtl:Lst.ed two Marines and First Battalion, First Mari,ies-,
reenl.isi:ed four Marines. This raised the Regimental total to
37.77%. With the conclusion of Operation Desert Storm, CYIC
released an additional 175 school seats and opened the
restrictions on submission of dut.y stations. The battalions
under the regiment continued to submit reenlistment requests.
The morale of the Marines who participated in the four day war
was high and unit Career Planners attempted to exploit that
atmosphere.
