           - 0930, 0-36 radars detected first of dozens of counterfire targets
             identified during morning of 6-day. From 0930 to 1331, lith Marines
             Target Processing Center (TPC) consolidated targets and Regt FDC
             coordinated engagment of 42 separate counterfire targets cleared by
             appropriate maneuver units. Regt FDC issued fire orders +or attack of
             26 targets by artillery; 17 were coordinated by llth Marines Air
             0-F-Ficer via qltickfire channel with Tactical Air Controller Airborne
             (TACA) -For attack by close air support aircraft.
           - 0941, 3/12 displaceed by echelon displacing 1/3/14 through br@ch in
             order to provide continous direct support to TF Gri 1,@
             occupied 4iring.position grid OS 710840 Fir@ap@r'L-ady at 1100.

             obstacle belt at grid OS 77 64; mission DS TF Ripper.
           - 1100, 1/11 began displacement through first obstacle belt and occupied

             occupation, 1/11 Jurtip CP toot,- incoming mortar -Fire.
           - 1100, 1/1-@ ass4tffed mission reinforcing 1/11 in order to provide
             continuous -Fire support to TF Papa Bear as 1/11 displaced forward.
           - 111-1c), 5/11 displaced by echelon with two batteries through TF Grizzly
             breach site to firing positions at grid OS 7687. Initial two batteries
             F2re'@ap ready at )77(i. remaining two batteries displacc- at 143(); ertre

           - 1147, 3/11 -Fired 247 rounds in series "Rict," to neutralize Iriqi
             positions defending 2d obstacle belt.

           -       7/11 fired Suppression of Enemy Air Defense (SEAD) series "1,4ape'
             to facilitate air attac@, an Iraqi positions de-Fending second obstacle
             belt.
           - l@-1c), With the CFL currently in effect located beyond most of
             CoLinter4,re targets identified, Regt FDC recommended that Divisior. Fre
             Support Coordiration Center (FSCC) established interim CFL closer to
             friendly forces. Division FSCC immediately establihse8 hasty CFL along
             the second obstacle belt.
           - 1220, Based on TF Ripper reported movement through 2d obstacle belt,
             regimental FDC reverted to use of CFL 2 for clearance of fires.
           - 1227@, Z@/12 received check firing on mortar counter-Fire target from TF
             Grizzly -Forward observer becasue Iraqi soldiers were surrendering at
             that location. Based on demonstrated Iraq! propensity to immediately
             surrender when -Fired upon with DLial Purpose Improved Conventional
             Munitions (DF'ICM), Reat FDC adjusted standard mortar counter4irc- volley
             to battery one round DPICM.

             second obstacle belt to support TF Ripper's attack towards Al Jaber
