2200 B Co, LAI CO maneuvers 2d and 3d Plat northward in an attempt
to determine the extent of the enemy positions.
2205 2d MarDiv to all units: Assume MOPP level 0 at 0600 25 Feb
91. Repack MOPP gear if possible and keep readily available
in case of chemical attack.
2215 CSSD-26 requests all units identify resupply needs and grid
locations. Priority HqCo 6th, B Co LAI, 1/8 and 2/2.
2245 B Co. LAI TOW section, traveling with 2d Plat, observes (3) X
suspected BTR-50s, vie CT 725105. CO directs TOW section to
move to a position to make a positive ID. First sighting
made at a range of 5000x.
2300 B Co, LAI called first of arty fire missions on bunker
complex and continued to call VT and PD HE missions
on groups of enemy as they moved about the trenchline to
escape the falling rounds.
2300 3/6 submits SITREP covering period 2321OZZ Mar 91 to
24210OZ Mar 91. CP location UT 650046t assumed blocking
position.
2302 1/6 submits SITREP. CP location CT 580117.
Bn conducted breaches in Lanes Red I and 2 and secured
Regt Obj C. In the process captured in excess of (2000)
EPWsl destroyed numerous Tks and artillery pieces, lost (3) X
Tks and (1) X AAV and (1) WIA (minor injuries).
2329 2d MarDiv Intel reports (220) X vehicles in convoy moving
E/NE at 40km per hour vie UT 5aa2n.
2335 Echo 2/10 reports receiving counter battery fire from the
large number of rounds fired on troops north and east of Regt
Obj D, but continues to answer calls for repeats on that
target.
2350 B Co, LAI reports all movement ceases in trenchline. No
