       G-1125 FEB 91


       PRIDE
       - 0109, Pride set condition 'Dodger" due to anticipated enemy
         counterattack, Rgo to 50% alert status due to possible enemy attackff.
       - 0148, 1st Marine Division/2nd Marine Division boundary shifted to East
         to a line from QT 7012 to OT 7230.
       - 0753, Division FSCC requests Ilth Marines attack an Armor/Mech Brigade
         forming at OT 893023 and an Armor Brigade forming at OT 874097.
       - 0900, Pride approves Task Force Taro's request to move 2/3 North of 3/3
         to occupy area North of Worker's Camp.
       - 0930, Div Fwd attacked. Counter attack force hit the Div Fwd
         CP at approx 0930, counter attack force was engaged by 'C' Co 1/1,
         Div Fwd COC personnel and 'BI Co LAI. Counter attack forces consisting
         of 5 T-55 tanks, 33 APC's and dismounted infantry. Div Fwd forces
         repelled the counter attack forces at approx 1030.
       - 1011, Pride reports enemy armor force at OS 8898 (to all units).
       - 1015 Pride forward engages enemy armor with AT-4's, Cobras and LAI's
         VIC @S 8598.
       - 1045, Division directs change 1100 attack to on order for TF Ripper.
       - At approx 1100, counter attack forces hit again, Div Fwd Air Officer
         controlled TOW cobra's with LAI's to defeat counter attack forces.
         Cobra's and LAI's destroyed 2 tanks and 27 APC's, remaining counter
         attack forces surrendered excess of 320 EPW's. Counter attacks
         delayed Fwd CP from displacing.
       - 1108, Division reports enemy tanks heading to the Northeast side of
         Wafra, tank concentrations due East 15 to 20 km, another tank
         concentration due North.
       - 1132, Pride reports TF XRAY helo lifting into blocking position to
         secure Division East Flank.
       - 1137, Helicopter and fixed wing on station/report Task Force    Shepherd:
         Burquan Oilfield visibility 500 ft on the deck.
       - 1204, From Division to Task Force Ripper: Temporary boundary    change
         with 2nd Marine Division at Grid OT 700144 at Phase Line Red    to Grid QT
         778229 follow road Northeast to Grid OT 850388 so 2nd Marine    Division
         can move North.
       - 1455, Coordinated Fire Line (CFL) 4 in effect.
       - 1815, Coordinated Fire Line (CFL) 4 Cancelled.
       - 2030, Pride reports Task Force Ripper's blister agent report at 191!
         was a false alarm, all non-effected units at MOPP-4 returned to MOPP-1.
       - 2043, MEF G-2 reports that enemy 6th Armor Division has orders to
         retake Al Jaber Airfzeld.
       - 2145, Division OpsO issues Fraq Order for attack on Kuwait
          nternational' Airport on G-2.
       - 2246, Pride FSCC requests 11th Marines to fire leaflet rounds vic
         targets Al Jaber. Leaflet rounds had not been delivered to any firing
         batteries.


       TASK FORCE-RIPPER
       - 0617, First engagement with enemy. Numerous EPW's.
       - 0620, 3d TkBn TOW's engage 20 vehicles and troops in open
         29'02'N47'48'E; attempted fixed wing CAS target obscured.
