   '14X), GENERAL DESCRIPTION: To establish a Casualty Section within the
    G-1, I Marine Expeditionary Force (Rear), that would track and maintain
    a data base (Appendix A) on all Battle/Non-Battle injuries and Medevac
    patients, to respond to inquiries concerning casualties and to
    establish Marine Hospital Liaison billets within field, Fleet and ship
    hospitals that would assist hospital personnel in providing care to
       ines and Sailors and report to the Casualty Office all daily
    a*issions, discharges and rnedevac's occurring during Operation Desert
    Shield/Desert Storm, August 1990 through 5 April 1991 (Appendix      B).

        DATES: August 1990 through 5 April 1991
  '*U.@ LOCATION OF OPERATIONS: Casualty Office - various locations to
    Ja3uary 1991 and from then Camp 5, to HQ, I MEF (Rear) and return to
    Camp 5, Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. Marine Liaison billets were located
    at four "letter" companies on a line West of Al Mishab, Saudi Arabia;
    three Fleet Hospitals located at Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia (2) and the
    island nation of Bahrain (1); one Army Hospital located on the island
    nation of Bahrain and two US Navy Hospital Ships, the USNS's Comfort
    and Mercy.

   -(4@LOCATION OF PERSONNEL: Same as Location of Operations (see Appendix
    (C)).

        OBJECTIVES: To provide field commanders, complete, accurate data on
    all Battle, Non-Battle Casualties and all Marine and attached Navy and
    Army (Tiger Brigade) patients medevaced through the theatre of
    operations, to Hospitals in Europe and CONUS. To provide a complete,
    accurate computerized data-base on all casualties at the completion of
    this operation for historical purposes.
