Situation
a.~. This movement plan will be executed on order, to
faciliate command and control (C2) of USMARCENT forces in the
vicinity of Al Jaber.
b~nemv Forces
(1) See current INSUM.
(2) The enemy possesses the capability of conducting route
interdiction through mining, demolition, and independent unit
operations to an extent consistant with their military objectives of
attriting, disrupting, and delaying our advance. The enemyfs
__ capability to conduct these operations is proportionate to the number
of forces bypassed by forward maneuver elements. The political,
psychological, and military impacts of destroying a USMC Command
Element (CE) convoy are significant.
(3) EPW's throughout the AO and gravitating toward the MSR may
have a significant impact on the rate of march of the CE convoy.
C .~Friendly Forces
(1) Fifth Marine Regiment will be south of Al Jaber and has
been tasked with providing MSR security south of Al Jaber.
(2) 1st MARDIV will be located to the north of Al Jaber. It is
anticipated that it will bypass some enemy forces in its zone. It has
MSR security north of Al Jaber.
(3) CO F Co 24th Marines wifl provide convoy security for all
CE convoys to include site security at the new site at Al Jaber and
