   Subi   Ml7A2 UAS MASKS

   1    Recommended procedures for the retrograde of MI~A2 ~as Masks

        a.  Marines redeploying with tactical units deploy with their
   masks -

        b.  Marines returning to CONUS with administrative units for
   release from active duty, PCS, etc.  turn mask into supporting SMU
   prior to departing SWA.

        c.  SMU redeploys with serviceable assets, reports
   unserviceable assets to MCLB, Albany (Code 035) for disposition
   instructions ASAP.

   2.   Upon redeployment~retrograde recommend the following testing
   priorities:

        a  MEU's SOC or other contingency MA~TF's

        b. Air contingency forces

        c. Other FMF units

        d. Stores assets

.~3.    Fielding of the M4O series mask could significantly impact
   testing plans and PWR reconstitution.  Delivery schedule not
   complete, but some deliveries will be made this FY.

   SUMMARY

   The recommendations outlined will ensure that all Marines have a
   mask and that the process of PWR reconstitution and retesting is
   underway.
