STATUS OF S~A~ OUT FOR DEPLOYED/DEPLOYINO UNITS
1. CMC authorized 100% swap out of mask for priority units where
masks bad riot been tested by T&EU.
~ 2. Mask will be returned to MCLB ALB/BAR for testing, repair and
demi 1 -
~. Using units will be charged for replaced masks that do not
pass test or can not be repaired.
4. To date, 8,000 masks have been sent to 1 MEE for exchange.
ILSD has asked 1st MEB to expedite return. ETA Albany arid
Barstow on returned quantity l-~ Sep.
5. Masks returned to depot from using unit will be tested by
T&EU as follows:
a. Visual test
b. Demil if necessary C/C H or repair
c. Disassemble mask
d. Clean/sanitize mask
e. Dry mask
f. Test on machine
g. Assemble mask
h. Return to C/C B stock, send to *PBA for repair, or demil
C/C H
i. Mask returned from PBA, C/C B stock or demil C/C H
j . Charge units for mask not repairable.
STATUS OF FUNDS - No Funding Problem
Additional contracts funding requirements to support Pine Bluff
Mask Re~air - ~50O,0OO.OO as of 24 Aug go - (5,000 masks @ $100
ea)
Additional material funding requirement to support T&EU Mask
Re~air & Level `A' Packaging $200,000. As of 24 Aug go.
Additional TAD funds required to support Test & Equipment repair
by Pine Bluff $2,500.00 as of 24 Aug gO.
