                                                          ANNEX A




          1. Run CAM for 2-4 h per week

          2. Switch on at least I h before use


          3. CAM runs in 2 modes - H for detection of  mustard
                                  - G for detection of nerve agents

                        SWITCH CAM OFF WHEN CHANGING MODES

          4. Switch on and wait for bar display and WAIT signal to
          clear.

          5. Remove nose cap and park this on rear of instrument.

          6. Attach filter to nose of instrument.

          7. Test instrument in each mode with confidence tester. This
          should give an 8 bar display.

          B. After display has cleared test sample in both modes. If
          bars 1-6 flash and bars 7-8 remain static this indicates
          unusual agents; inform D. Utley, CDD (ext 580/303).

          9. After use allow CAM display to clear completely before
          switching off instrument.
