   Thirty-five minutes later a forward element of the 3d Tank Eattalion got
into a brief engagement with an Iraqi T-62 and destroyed the tank. The tank
proved an to be an intelligence windfall. Documents found inside revealed Iraqi
frequencies, unit call signs, and a communications plan. However, bostilities
ended before this  information could   be put to use.  Of more    immediate
importance was the battalion's encounter with a T-72. Regarded as the most
