23 Feb Charlie Co'% Clearing Station Bravo departs. OIC is LT
O'Mara.
Al Khaniar Puollc Address system problems modified.
Incinerator installed +or waste management. Two ambulance
teams from Hotel Co dispatched forward. Air conditioning
units installed. Ground War due to commence at 2000.
1930 received first Helo Non Battle Injury. 2104 received
first combat related casualty. Wards +ully functional. a
patients in house. 2nd FSSG GAS personnel arrived (13)
+or duty.
24 Feb 0400, Allied ground assault begins.
H&S Co Marines commence guarding of EPW's admitted to Al
Khaniar Med Facility.
Charlie Co's Clearing Stations Alpna and Bravo are in
third wave of breach. Both come under enemy fire.
Al Khanjar Trauma Center received first Enemy Prisoner of
War (EPW) patients. Received word that at 0400 ist breach
went into Kuwait. Facility received 21 casualties with 13
patients admitted. Shortfall list submitted again.
Treated 2 British civilian reporters for minor lacerations
and oruises suffered in an automobile accident. Ist
Vascular repair done. All personnel were ordered to wear
war gear. Ist external fixer used. Told that tnere was
no C-130 transport available by Medical Regulating +or
patients in house.
25 Feb H&S Co Marines continue to guard incoming FPW's at Al
Khanjar Med Facility.
Charlie Co begins to displace to new position, DSG-2
forward in Kuwait.
Al Khaniar showers opened for staff that have direct
patient contact. MAG-26 medevac to Fleet Hospital 5.

have 26 EPW's and 11 WIA.
26 Feb H%RCS Co Marines detailed to transport EPW's from medical
facility to EPW camp.
Charlie Co EPW working party, comprised of 12 men,
departs. Working party comes under enemy +ire.
Al Khanjar Trauma Center Ward census: 82 patients, 59 EPW,
23 WIA. Ward received that Al Jaber airport secured.
Word received that Kuwait International Airport open.
Word received that at 14(JO +lag raised. Minimally injured
F7PW's (39) transferred to the EPW camp. Advised a+ a
possible move north for Lima Co. CBS News did a report on
the MASF filming their transfer of patients to tne planes.
