SUBJECT:  Information for the Commander

- Looks as if AAFES front-loaded their container
ships with soft drinks and snack foods.
65 of 92 containers unloaded.  No essential
health care products.  Tactical field exchanges
manned and ready but lack the merchandise
the troops need.  Working with AAFES.  We're
told the ship due-in 5 Oct will have a full
stock assortment.

- Shaikh Isa processed remains of USMC E-6
killed today.  Remains scheduled to arrive
AF mortuary 27 Sept with follow on airlift
to Frankfurt.
