CRITICAL ISSUE 
OBJECT: HARDENING 
 
OBSERVATION: More is being done to protect personnel, critical 
equipment, and aircraft. 
 
ACTION: Sandbags and shovels were sent to six of our most 
forward locations. An additional 571,000 sandbags are on 
order. An aircraft revetment kit distribution plan was worked between 
engineering and Air Base Operability for 177 kits. Berming of 
munitions and POL is still in progress and nearing completion at many 
sites.
