					CRITICAL ISSUE



SUBJECT:  RAPID RUNWAY REPAIR (RRR)

OBSERVATION:  Rapid Runway Repair (RRR) capability is limited to only
two of the five high threat bases for Operation Desert Shield.  Two
complete AM-2 matting nine-patch kits have been sourced to the two
highest priority bases.  The remaining three kits are missing the
patch kits and components kits.

ACTION:  Pusue USCENTAF/LG sourcing the missing items for the three
additional RRR sets or have the Air Force Engineering & Services
Center provide required items or Fiberglass Mats.  Source three
partial RRR sets to the next three highest priority sites.
