SUBJECT:  354 TFW BATTLE STAFF DIRECTIVE #51

          BATTLE STAFF DIRECTIVE        NO. 51                DTG. 02/645 Feb 91

                 SUBJECT: Chemical Warfare Equipment
       
          1.   We are still at war. We expect a formal cease-fire soon. We
          also expect the need for chemical protection equipment to be
          reduced once all that occurs.  When the decision is made to
          delete the requirement to carry your C-1 bag and gas mask, each
          person will accomplish the folloving actions:

          a. Turn in the controlled drugs (CANA) to the same office of
          responsibility who issued them to you.

          b. Pack your C-1 bag with all items you are required to have
          (i.e. mask, gloves, booties, etc). Shipment procedures for C-1
          bag will be announced later.

          2. You must be on the turn in list and have all your equipment
          to get on the plane. Take care of your responsibilities.
          Failure to accomplish the above steps prior to redeployment
          processing will result in delaying your departure for home.
