Certain aircraft are reported to experience wing flutter of up to three feet in flight. So far we have restricted these aircraft to certain munitions loads. JAN 29: DAY 13 - The frag was again basically the same. We are still experiencing the wing flutter and generated a message telling what we found. Other wings to include Mcintyre, Torrejon, and Syracuse have been finding the same thing. The wing king says no 4 X CBU 87's, only Parent Mounts. - We lost one line on the third 24 ship ground abort. - We are gearing up for a heavy schedule on Thursday. To keep all jets available for the schedule, I have directed that none go into phase the next day or in for a gun annual or scheduled inspections. - The cross country bird at Riyadh (a/c 1407) ground aborted again. This time for A system hydraulics reading high. Had the pilot stuck with the jet for a little longer, it probably could have been fixed. JAN 30: DAY 14 - Early this morning we changed munitions to a mix of 84's and 87's to go after a new target. The F-4's had spotted six Flog- gers on the ground uncovered which we decimated. - The cross country bird made it home Code 1. The maintenance folks will come home tomorrow due to the Star Mission's schedule. - The message came in restricting 87's to only Parent mount, no TER's. - All sorties flew successfully filling a 24 X 24 X 24 schedule. JAN 31: DAY 15 - Today we scaled back from 96 to 64 lines. Munitions configura- tions were Mk 20's and Mk 82's. We were fragged with 16 X 16 X 16 X 16. - We have been having problems with hangers. Today after the first go recoveries we had three. There was a lot of carts identified as bad and changed out.
