FEB 14: DAY 29

- Twelve more people returned to complete the swap out at the FOL
including Major Karr and MSgt Jones.

- The Wing King, Col Huot, visited the operations at the FOL and
has stated how impressed he is with the operation and the fact
that we deployed one day and started functioning the next. Looks
like we pulled it off with class.

- a/c 1152 blew a main tire and stayed overnight at the FOL.
Other than that, today was a very quiet day.

FEB 15: DAY 30

- a/c 1271 air aborted for cabin pressure and his wingman came
back sympathy(a/c 1295). Because they were scheduled to double
turn up North, we lost six lines off the bat. To compensate, we
stripped down two B-bags and sent them off to catch up and com-
plete at least two missions each.

- a/c 1262 came back early with an INS bus fail. a/c 1282 also
air aborted for nozzle problems.

- Thirty struts came in for the TCTO ECA mod, add that to the
three we have on base and that makes us only one short of what we
need to complete the fleet. For the change-out we are going to
try to match the strut change with the high phasers, or if that
won't work, do those that are hard broke and will be down for a
few hours.

- a/c 1150 is broke up North for the night with an AB Blow Out.
Two engines shipped out at about 0300 hrs to replace the two
broke.

- We are continually broke for pods and do not have enough to fit
every jet in the fleet with an FMC pod. Therefore at night the
able configured jets have priority for the pods over the bakers
because if they drop a line, they loose three altogether.

- We are in the show off mode and I have requested the wing king
up the sorties per day to 144. We have the majority of the bugs
here and at the FOL smoothed out and we want to get this war over
with soon!!

- Had a TCTO meeting to discuss the safety wiring of the fuel
master switches and the 1721 cards which are still not on base.

- We lost a/c 1379. All reports sent out and proper agencies
notified. Damn!!
