SUBJECT:  23 TFW BATTLE STAFF DIRECTIVE #23          
                                                                       
          BATTLE STAFF DIRECTIVE           NO. 23                         DTG 271430L JAN 91
          
          SUBJECT: Amendment to BSD #16
          
          1. BSD #16, Subject: Ground Crew Ensemble (GCE) Changeout, is
          amended as follows: 
          
               a. The service life of the woodland pattern GCE has been
          extended to 30 days, therefore change-out day for the woodland
          GCEs is 15 Feb 91. The solid green suit service life remains at
          14 days, therefore changeout day for solid green GCEs remains 31
          Jan.
          
               b. After change-out, new GCEs will not be removed from their
          sealed packages until directed by the installation commander.
          Sealed GCE packages will be placed in the individual's C-1 bag.
          
               c. Old GCEs will not be destroyed at this time, but will be
          turned back in to Base Supply for storage. Suits need to be
         neatly folded by size sets and either bagged or tied and marked
         to show size. Supply will have containers to pack the old suits
         into
