File: 110196_aacfa_16.txtOctober 1990 CONVULSANT ANTIDOTE FOR NERVE AGENTS (CANA) THESE INTERIM PROCEDURES ARE IN ADDITION TO THOSE FOUND IN THE SOLDIERS MANUAL OF COMMON TASKS SEVERE SYPTOMS OF NERVE AGENT POISONING REQUIRING CANA: Severe muscle twitching. Convulsions, seizures. Unconscious with nerve agent symptoms. USAGE Inject CANA in the same way you inject the MARK I (larger autoinjector). When a fellow soldier needs additional MARK I injectors after having given himself his first injection, immediately give him the second and third injections AND THEN THE CANA. If he has not received any MARK I injections, go ahead and give all three MARK I injections together with his CANA. CAUTION: DO NOT GIVE CANA TO YOURSELF. IT IS A BUDDY AID.
