POINT PAPER
USAF WORLDWIDE SUPPLY OF DRUGS FOR CHEMICAL/BIOLOGICAL WARFARE (CW/BW) DEFENSE
PURPOSE
To provide a status report on the USAF worldwide supply of drugs for CW/BW
defense.
BACKGROUND
- The USAF has war readiness materiel (WRM) stocks of both prophylactic and
treatment drugs for CW/BW defense.

- As of 1500, 4 Sep:
-- All previously suspended USAF 2-PAM-Cl lots tested by FDA have received
FDA shelf-1ife extensions until Jul 92. FDA will continue to test these
lots annually and will notify the USAF is any loss of potency is noted
during the extended shelf-life.
-- Seven lots of 2-PAM-Cl were not available for testing and have not been
extended. AFMEO knows of no USAF stocks of these lots, but has sent a
message requesting USAF units notify them if they have any stock with
these lot numbers so it can be tested.
