					ANNEX  D
		PLACEMENT OF M8 AND M9 DETECTION PAPER/TAPE                                                          

           1 Personnel: 

          	All personnel must place M9 tape on their Ground Crew Ensemble
          (GCE)  when MOPP level 1 is declared. Place tape on the  GCE as
          follows: lower leg, opposite upper leg, lower arm, opposite
          upper arm.-

          2. Buildings/Tents:

          	 M8 paper or M9 tape (3" strips) should be placed on all four
         corners  and all entrances . M8 or M9 at entrances  should be near
         the door knob/handle.

          3. Bunkers:
.
         	Place M8 paper or M9  tape (3" strips) on all four corners and
          on the highest accessible sand bag near the entrance/exit. If
          the bunker is covered by camo net, place the M8 paper or M9 tape
          on the outside of the net near the entrance and at the north,
          south, east, and west sides of the net.

          4. Mission Essential Resources:

          	Place M8 paper or M9 tape (3"  strips) around the perimeter of
          large areas of equipment or supplies. Individual pallets or
          pieces of equipment should only be marked if they will be needed
          shortly after an attack. 

          5. Vehicles:

          Place M8 paper or M9 tape (3" strips) near hood latches, door
          handles (each side), and wheel wells - behind the tires (front
          and back on opposite sides).

          NOTE 1: Attach M8 paper to objects with masking tape.
