LOGISTICS ISSUE NO. 5 ASF - REVISE TA TO ALLOW PACKING IN 100-BED INCREMENT
(SGHR ITEM NO. 146)
DISCUSSION: Establishing ASFs incrementally during build-up was a bulky
process because of the way assemblages were stored. It would have been easier
to establish capability gradually.
RECOMMENDATION: TA be reviewed to allow packing in 100-bed increments instead
of 250 bed increments.
ACTIONS REQUIRED: ASF working group evaluate the sizing and packing of ASF
equipment packages. If needed develop new packages based on recommended size
ACTIONS COMPLETED: AMC ASF working group has reviewed TAs for ASF packages.
Recommendations have been incorporated into planning adjusting equipment and
supply levels. Plans call for an adjustment to smaller number of beds per
assemblage and manpower UTCs are being adjusted to meet the new bed levels.
