         DISCUSSION: MAJCOMs had different policies initially regarding flight pay for
         flight surgeons. Caused confusion and some poor morale when some personnel
         were denied flight pay. Upon request, AF/XOOTW issued guidance (per message)
         that favorably clarified the issue.

         RECOMMENDATIONS: Incorporate AF/XOOTW guidance into existing regulations.

         ACTIONS REQUIRED: Incorporate guidance regarding flight pay for flight
         surgeons into AFIs.

         ACTIONS COMPLETED: AFI 10-402 has been revised and will incorporate necessary
         guidance upon publication.
