Europe which may have an inventory of large motors and control
equipment. OKI could furnish a list of specifications for the
equipment and MPW could contact various cities which may have
such items. Perhaps MPW could enter into a contract with a
Cooperating municipality to purchase the needed equipment they
may have on h@nd. -Also, if repairs cannot be accomplished in
Kuwait, it may be advantageous to air-freight motors to Europe
where they can be re-built and returned in less time than new
motors can. be obtained. It is important to note that any make
of motor with the proper frame, mounting configuration, and
                 specifications will be acceptable.

                      CONCLUSION 17:

The three sewage treatment plantit,, Ardiya,, Rigga and
jabral are in surprisingly good shape, Damage was done in
laboratory and administrative areas at all sewage treatment
plants.' Jahra was without electrical power and needed EOD
clearance; both problems have been resolved. Extensive theft
and/or destruction of logistical supplies such. as piping,
tools, special purpose vehicles, and other itpna was obvious
..at all sewage treatment plants.' Rigga STP has extensive
damage to tertiary treatment sand filter control panels from
eatlosive devices placed within two or three of the panels.

7a. 'As flow o:e sewage increases or starts to the three
sewage treatment plants achieve in order of priority. (1)
primary treatment (utilizing secondary treatment components as
necessary) # (2) secondary treatment, and,, with a low priority,

7b. Define minimal laboratory support for sewage
treatment plant operational requirements and seek to establish
that capability at Ardiya in a timely'fashion. (MPWI OXI)

                      CONCLUSION #S:

Maintaining the water pressure in the water distribution
at minimum oaf* operating levels will bonef it the recovery
effort. This will be a means of relieving the pressure on the
temporary repairs in the sewage collection system. These
minimum levels could be maintained until the sewage collection
system is reliably operating to the by-pass points.
